20:00 Instruction for the team captains
The team captain instruction starts at 20:00. Here the organization will tell the most important things about the race. For fire safety reasons, only the team captain is allowed to be present at the instruction. If the team captain cannot be present, one runner can come as delegate. Make sure that the given information is communicated to the entire team.
20:30 - 22:00 Vest handout
The team will have to pick up the team vest between 20:30 and 22:00. This can be done at the info desk in the sports centre. To ensure a smooth process, the vests are sorted by start group and start number. It is therefore important that you know the full name, start number and start group of your team.
Saturday
16:00 Starters' badge handout
From 16:00 onwards you can pick up the 2 runners' badges of your team. This can be done at the UTrack. One badge will be worn at the front and one on the back of the last runner of your team. In one of the two badges will be a transponder.
18:00 - 20:00 Vest intake
The drop-off point for the vests is at the info desk at the sports centre from 18:00 until 20:00 hours.
The following must be returned in original state:
The runners' vest with 2 transponders
Two starters' badges of the last stage with one transponder
Eating on campus
The participant dinner on Saturday night will take place the same way this year as last year: on the grounds of the UT Enschede campus there will be a takeaway point (see grid map) of Domino's pizza to make sure you go into the Batavieren festival with a full stomach! Between 16.00 and 19.30 the takeaway point will be present. For this you do need to order your pizzas from domino's yourself. You recieved a link from Domino's which you can order on.
You can pick up your pizza's from 18:00-21:00.
Sleeping on campus
After the party and the race it is possible to stay overnight in Enschede and enjoy the festival atmosphere! You and your team can sleep at a place on the campsite. The locations of these campgrounds are shown on the map below: the Carilloncamping (CC), the Hockeycamping (HC) and the Vlindercamping (VC).
It is important that the vans are parked in the designated parking area, camping is done within the lines and the campsite is left tidy. No glass may be brought into the campground. Also, only tents of up to 6 people with a maximum area of 9 m2 are allowed.
Furthermore, the following rules of conduct apply on the campsite which everyone must observe:
Vehicles on or near the edge of the camping area are not allowed! You risk a fine. Parking is possible on the parking lots P1 and P2 (see P on the map above).
The campsite is open on Friday 9th of May from 15:00, no tents may be set up before that.
The campsites are marked off with lines due to fire safety, make sure you place your tent within these lines.
Place your tent with a distance of three meters from other tents.
Only tents with a maximum capacity of six persons and a maximum area of 9 m2 are allowed.
Party tents are prohibited and will be confiscated if set up.
The lighting of open fires (including barbecues) is strictly prohibited.
Bringing glassware (including glass jars of peanut butter) is prohibited, no glassware is allowed on the entire site.
Bringing high pressure bottles is not allowed.
Professional security and police are constantly present. However, do not leave valuables behind! Lockers are available in the sports center. The organization is not responsible for theft or loss.
Report calamities to the supervisors. You can find them on the camping grounds or near the supervisor containers.
The campsite is for sleeping, be quiet at night and do not continue partying.
Please dispose of your waste in the containers or in the garbage areas. Garbage bags are available at the supervisor containers.
By Sunday morning at 11:00 am you must have left the campsite.
Smoking is prohibited on campus, including the campsites.
Aggregates are prohibited on the campsites.
You are not allowed to bring white goods into the campsites.
When not following these rules you can be removed from the terrain.
The organization reserves the right to occasionally deviate from these rules.
We would like to draw your attention to the fact that it is mandatory to clean up your waste. If this does not happen, your free sleeping place is in danger. Please make sure that all your waste ends up in the garbage bags on Sunday morning!
Batavierenfestival
On Saturday night at 21:00 the Batavieren festival start. The party will take place at sportzaal 1 in the sports centre and in the Vestingbar. Sportzaal 1 will only be open to participants and volunteers, upon showing your runner wristband or volunteering hoodie. The party in the sports centre will end at 02:00. The Vestingbar is open to all party goers!
Did all the partying get you thirsty? Buy a drink at the bar. Tokens cost €2.50.
Upon entering the grounds you will receive another other token; an ecocoin. This coin can be exchanged at the bar for a cup and with the consumption token you get the drink. To get get another drink, hand in the empty cup and a token at the bar, so we can recycle the empty cups. Have you lost the cup and the ecocoin, you have to pay a consumption token to get a new cup again. So keep your cup with you! You are not allowed to bring your own drinks on the festival grounds.
