Batten is a very rare metabolic disease that slowly but surely destroys a child's body. Instead of the child growing up, a process of irreversible deterioration begins, both physically and mentally. Children with Batten appear healthy at birth, become blind and even develop dementia.They die far too young.

Because every child deserves a good future, the Batavierenrace and Topicus are teaming up to raise money to make more hopeful research possible.
