Winner Overall Classification 2021 - Tartlétos team QuaRENtaine
April 23 and 24, 2021 was the day of the Batavierenrace! This year it was an online edition, so you could decide where you would run and how far you wanted to suffer, as long as the total distance of your team was 125 km. And so we went with 25 enthusiastic Tartletes to the ordeal. There was a whole strategic plan set up how we could set the best possible time. We thought of the best possible routes around Wageningen, where you could for example roll down the mountain nice and fast or have the wind behind you the whole way. Everyone had arranged their own cyclist and there were even spectators along the various routes to encourage us. All this ensured that team QuaRENtaine achieved a fantastic average speed and won the overall classification! We did not expect this and we were pleasantly surprised! We were allowed to do our story on the bataradio and attend the results broadcast live. We received a very nice prize which is now displayed in the trophy cabinet of the Tartlétos house “de Trimsalon”. This was an experience never to forget and we are going to make it a party again this year! We are very happy that this year we can run the familiar route between Nijmegen and Enschede again and can't wait to compete against other teams and party on Saturday night! See you there!
Love,
Tartlétos team QuaRENtaine
