Eating on campus
This year, the participant dinner will take place in a different way than usual: on the grounds of the UT Enschede campus, there will be a number of food trucks and Domino's pizza takeaway points to make sure you go to the BatavierenFestival with a well filled stomage!
Sleeping on campus
After the party and the race it is possible to stay overnight in Enschede and enjoy the festival atmosphere! From the organization there are two possibilities to stay overnight: a place in the dormitories of the sports center or a place on the campsite. In the sports center (SC) you can be sure that you will be woken up at the right time before you have to leave for your stage, and of course you will be warm and dry. For the dormitories, bands can be ordered in advance through the website, but if that special guy/girl doesn't have a band, it can always be picked up at the info desk after the sale.
The other overnight option is at the campsites, which have been set up on campus. The locations of these campgrounds are shown on the map below: the Carilloncamping (CC), the Hockeycamping (HC) and the Vlindercamping (VC).
In Enschede, the camping is free. To ensure that camping remains free in the coming years, it is important that the vans are parked in the designated parking area, camping is done within the lines and the campsite is left tidy. No glass may be brought into the campground. Also, only tents of up to 6 people are allowed.
Furthermore, the following rules of conduct apply on the campsite which everyone must observe:
Vehicles on or near the edge of the camping area are not allowed! You risk a fine. Parking is possible on the parking lots P1 and P2 (see P on the map above).
The campsite is open on Friday 29th of april from 15:00, no tents may be set up before that.
The campsites are marked off with lines due to fire safety, make sure you place your tent within these lines.
Place your tent with a distance of three meters from other tents.
The campsite has a limited capacity, therefore full is full. When the campsite is full, you can also get sleeping-bands for the sports center at the information desk.
Only tents with a maximum capacity of six persons are allowed.
Party tents are prohibited and will be confiscated if set up.
The lighting of open fires (including barbecues) is strictly prohibited.
Bringing glassware (including beer bottles) is prohibited, no glassware is allowed on the entire site.
Bringing high pressure bottles is not allowed.
Professional security and police are constantly present. However, do not leave valuables behind! Lockers are available in the sports center. The organization is not responsible for theft or loss.
Report calamities to the supervisors. You can find them on the camping grounds or near the supervisor containers.
The campsite is for sleeping, be quiet at night and do not continue partying.
Please dispose of your waste in the containers or in the garbage areas. Garbage bags are available at the supervisor containers.
By Sunday morning May 1, at 11:00am you must have left the campsite.
Smoking is prohibited on the campsites.
Aggregates are prohibited on the campsites.
When not following these rules you can be removed from the terrain.
The organization reserves the right to occasionally deviate from these rules.
We would like to draw your attention to the fact that it is mandatory to clean up your waste. If this does not happen, your free sleeping place is in danger. Please make sure that all your waste ends up in the garbage bags on Sunday morning!
From 20:00 onwards, the Batavierenfestival will be held on the campus of the University of Twente. This party closes the race in style on our very own event terrain. This year there are three stages, each with a unique style of music.
Getting hungry or thirsty from all that partying? Get a beer at one of the bars, have a cocktail at the cocktail bar or enjoy some food at the foodstreet. Tokens are available at three sales points across the grounds.
Entrance to the Batavierenfeest is free.
At 23:00, the winners of the Batavierenrace will be awarded their respective prizes on the main stage. Around the prize ceremony, there will be music for the general public. From Narcotic to No Diggety, there is something for everyone.
